Jose Durr

JOSE GEORGE DURR, 76, a resident of Chamisal, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Taos Living Center. He was born on November 9, 1939 to Laurence F. and Frances M. (Martinez) Durr. He was the second sibling of the family. He attended the Chamisal Grade School and graduated from Peñasco High School in 1957. Though disabled, he continued to live in Chamisal, after graduation in the Peñasco, Dixon and Chamisal areas. George was preceded in death by his parents of Dodge City, KS and his older brother, J.J. Charlie Durr of Albuquerque. He is survived by his younger brother, Lawrence (Larry) of Dodge City, KS which has been his only immediate family care giver in his life and close caregiver cousin, Emery Lovato of Chamisal. He has several other cousins in the Chamisal, Espanola, Santa Fe and Rio Rancho Communities. George was a participant in the Taos Community Services the Ancianos Senior Center in Chamisal and the San Antonio De Padua Parish in Peñasco. Services are pending at this time and will be posted as soon as they become available.
