JOSE RUDY DOMINGUEZ, 78, a resident of Grants and La Mesilla, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Rosinalda Dominguez; son, Rudy David Dominguez; brothers, Alfredo, Jr., Cosme and Manuel Dominguez; sister, Blanche Romero; mother-in-law, Elvira Romero. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and an electrician for many years. He loved traveling the world. Jose worked in Peru, Iran and Antarctica and many other places. He loved to play his guitar and enjoyed playing the guitar with his friends. Mr. Dominguez is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Romero of Grants; daughters, Anna Dominguez of Tres Pierdas, Rita Harman of Albuquerque; step-children, Patricia (Stacey) Corley of Grants and George Romero (Raquel) of Yuma, Arizona; grandchildren, Divina, Jade and Zakai, Justin (Iris), Jacob, Cassius, Paris, Georgie and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Eli and Jet; brothers, Archie (Della) Dominguez of Ashfork, Arizona and Joe (Linda) Dominguez of Denver, CO; sisters, Alice (Nash) Gonzales of Vadito, Rose (Leroy) Salazar of Chamita and Jessie (George) Tapia of Santa Fe; uncle, Samuel Martinez; sisters-in-law, Bernie Dominguez of Chamisal, Nancy Dominguez of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law, Nick (Bernie), Bert (Diana), Victor (Virginia), Rudy (Jenny), Gerald (Felice), Demecio and Jimmy Romero; sisters-in-law, Lucille (Rick), Janet (Peter), Gloria (Virgil) and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at the Chamisal Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Joe Dominguez, Demecio Romero, George Romero, Johnny Dominguez, David Pacheco, Ruben Martinez, Noe Quezada and Rudy Romero.
