Jordan Robert Valdez, age 20, a resident of El Guache and tribal member of the Pueblo of Pojoaque passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2023. Jordan was a very charismatic young man who never met a stranger.  If you met Jordan in any of the car club events, you were instantly his friend. Jordan’s love of cars and anything with an engine was what kept the spark in his eyes.  Jordan was the kind of individual with an incredible love of life. His smile was infectious, and his laugh contagious.  It didn’t matter what kind of a day you were having, if you ran into Jordan, he’d have you laughing and smiling in an instant.  And if you needed help, all you had to say is I need you, and before you could even say why, Jordan would say “I’m on my way”.  His loving spirit touched so many lives in his young 20 years of life.

Jordan was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents Cordilia and Arthur Abram, Sigifredo Maestas, and Francisco and Ester Fernandez, his Great-Tia Lucia Fernandez, and his Uncle Samuel Robert Maestas, his paternal great grandfathers Esquipula Valdez, Ben & Flora Viarrial.

Jordan is survived by his mother Marla Maestas-Valdez & Anthony Barela, father Manuel Valdez & Justine Martinez, and siblings Shane, Bethanny, and Dustin, maternal grandparents Sigfredo & Angela Maestas, Gabriel & Heather Montoya who stood as second parents to Jordan, paternal great grandmother Mary Grace Valdez, paternal grandparents Manuel & Elsie Valdez, and Annette Hooper, maternal great-aunts Arnielle Fernandez, Mae Rose Lopez & Belardmino Lopez, and maternal uncle Salomon Maestas, paternal uncles Ben & Cheryl Valdez, Kevin and Sarah Valdez, Diane Hooper & Sam Lucero, Michelle and Ramon Rivera, Reynel “Elmo” Sanchez, and cousins Brian, Ben, Dylan, and Devin Valdez, Kimberly and Tatiana Montoya, Annelise Hooper, Sammy Lucero, Sonya and Layla Venegas, and numerous other cousins, and family friends.

A rosary will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, Friday at 6:00 p.m. the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in the Chapel of Peace, with a Catholic Mass celebration on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
