JONATHAN “JOHNNY” LOPEZ , 36, a resident of Truchas passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Flavio and Jennie Romero; aunts and uncles, Viola Velarde, Timmy Romero and Candie Romero and cousin, Adrian Romero. Johnny was an angel who loved his family dearly. He always put a smile on everyone’s face. A gentle kind hearted man who loved to spend time with family. He enjoyed music and watching movies. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Johnny is survived by his parents, Roger and Sandra Rodriguez; brother, Felix Rodriguez (Shayla); niece, Toni Rodriguez; aunts and uncles, Joe Velarde, Clorindo Romero (Yolanda), Jennie Romero, Stella Valdez (Leroy), Billy Romero, Gilbert Romero (Barbara), Joe Romero (Cecilia), Jackie Romero (Larry) and numerous other relatives and friends who loved him dearly. Public visitation will begin on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 1:00 p.m. and a memorial service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Los Llanitos Cemetery in Truchas with the following serving as pallbearers, Felix Rodriguez, Christopher Romero, David Romero, Billy Romero, Gilbert Romero, Clorindo Romero and Felice Valdez. The family of Jonathan “Johnny” Lopez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
