Jon - Age 47 - Rio Rancho - Minssen

JON MINSSEN, 47, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ovella Minssen; cousin, Crystal Hunt; grandparents-in-law, Cipriano and Ella Padilla. He enjoyed participating in sports with his sons and taught them how to play guitar, chess, and how to fish and golf. He kept his daughters close to his heart and kept their pictures around for everyone to see and spoke very highly of them. Jon liked spending time and laughing with his family and friends watching movies, cooking and having barbeques. He always worked on his Volkswagen Bug and was always ready to give a much needed hug or kiss. Mr. Minssen is survived by his wife, Nicholette Minssen of Rio Rancho; children, Jonathan and Matthew Minssen of Rio Rancho, Amber Minssen of Seattle, Washington and Anne Minssen of Albuquerque; brothers and sisters, Sue Butler-Grey and Yvonne Minssen of Albuquerque, Chris Minssen and wife Michelle of Belen, Andrew Minssen and Jacey Reese of Iowa and Julie Minssen Metzger; nephews, Carlos and Eddie Holling of Albuquerque and Andrew Minssen, Jr. of Iowa; mother-in-law, Phyllis Taylor of Rio Rancho and numerous other relatives and friends. Cremation is being planned. Services are pending at this time. Honorary pallbearers named are, Jonathan, Matthew, Chris and Andrew Minssen, Carlos and Eddie Holling, Leigh Pavone, Andre Lowe, Eric Lovato, Sherwin Anjikumar, Doug Gordon, Brandon Hunt, Matthew Armijo and Ernie Nakamura.
