JOHN T. SANCHEZ, 83, a resident of Dixon passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 11, 2019. He was preceded in death by his children, Elaine Sanchez, Eluid Sanchez; parents, Eliud and Gregorita Sanchez; sister, Lorraine Velarde, Eileen Olivas, brother, Salomon Sanchez. John is survived by his wife, Lorraine Sanchez; children, Donna Sanchez, Darlene Atencio (Pedro), Anthony Sanchez; grandchildren, Leeann Maes, Mark Maes, Phillip Sanchez (Delmaria), Robyn Sanchez, Lori Atencio, Johnny Atencio, great-grandchildren, Shawn Martinez, Ashlynn Lewis, Marcos Maes, Penelope Sanchez, Nolene Sanchez, and Kaylee Atencio; siblings, Lucille Martinez (Augustine), Sadie Hanson (Al), Gloria Gonzales (Alberto), Louellen Reyes (Elizar) and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday March 14th, 2019 at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon with rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 15th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon with burial to follow at the Father Kupper Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be his grandchildren Leeann, Mark, Phillip, Robyn, Lori, and Johnny. With his great grandchildren Shawn, Ashlyn, Marcos, Penelope, Nolene, and Kaylee serving as honorary pallbearers.   The family of John T. Sanchez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
