Johnny (Juan) Norman Age - 47 - Santa Clara P Cata

JOHNNY (JUAN) NORMAN CATA, 47, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo, born and raised in Arroyo de Agua, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born to Elaiza and Norman Montoya on May 1, 1965. He was an excellent journeyman carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 407, most recently employed at Los Alamos National Laboratories. Johnny was willing to help anyone who asked for his help no matter how large or involved the project. His attention to detail and perfection in his carpentry were outstanding. He greatly enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, but most of all riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Medardo and Octaviana Garcia; paternal grandparents: Jose and Antonina Montoya; uncles: Ubaldo Montoya, Rudy Garcia, Mateo Garcia; and several cousins. Johnny is survived by his wife, Maria Lucero Cata of Santa Clara Pueblo; parents, Elaiza and Norman Montoya of Arroyo de Agua; siblings: Brenda Cata and Pamela Martinez of Española, Norma Martinez and Stanley Garcia of Arroyo de Agua, and Rayna Montoya of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Janaha Vigil of Pecos; godparents, Ambrosia and Emilio Herrera of Arroyo de Agua; godchildren: Ashley Martinez and Enriquez Jaurequi of Española; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, mother and father-in-law, Faustina and Jose Lucero of Santa Clara Pueblo; sisters-in-law: Emilia Sanchez of Los Pachecos and Felice Lucero of Santa Clara Pueblo. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, October 28, 2012, from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at a later date.
