Johnny R. Trujillo

Johnny Trujillo, 58, of Chimayo passed away on November 6, 2022.

We will miss your great sense of humor, laughs and jokes.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father Johnny Sr. “Amarante” Trujillo, sisters Cynthia & Tracy Trujillo, grandparents Amarante & Isabelle Trujillo, Ruben & Genoveva Garcia, nephew Harold Trujillo Jr..

Johnny is survived by his wife Darlene, sons Johnny Jr. (SueAnn whom he loved as a daughter),  Joseph, Raymond (Krystal), daughters Vanessa, Madalynn (Chris), April, and Rosie. His mother Gevei, sisters Lisa (Martin), Yvette (Manuel) whom he considered a brother and Harold (Diane). Granddaughter Amara Vigil whom he loved/adored and raised, Matteo, Richard, Annalisa, Lucas, Savannah and baby Amaya. His close nephew Alex Trujillo, Fran Trujillo, nieces Hope Trujillo and Alyssa Trujillo. Sister-in-laws Orlinda Martinez (Rocky) and Lorraine Martinez (Ronald), father-in-law Orlando Martinez.

Johnny was loving, caring, outgoing, always telling jokes. He had a good sense of humor and made friends everywhere he went. Those who came around to visit would find him watering his grass and flowers. He was a hard worker and carpenter who took pride in his work. He served 40 years in the Carpenter Union for 40 years. He worked as a carpenter at LANL where he retired.

The Trujillo family would like to thank all family and friends who have supported us during this difficult time.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 9:15 am at the Holy Family Church in Chimayo, NM, with a Christian Mass to follow at 10 am.  Burial will take place at El Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.

Serving as Pallbearers are Johnny Jr. Trujillo, Joseph Trujillo, Alex Trujillo, Benji Naranjo, Freddie Trujillo, and Manuel Ortiz.
