John Michael Francis Guillen

John Michael Francis Guillen Sr. (Mike Guillen) 61, resident of Chamita was born March 12, 1957 in Torrance, CA.  He passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Aranda; father, Tranquilino Guillen; brothers, David (USMC-PFC) and Carl Guillen. After leaving high school, Mike enrolled in the United States Army where he served at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico and Fort Greely, Alaska as a chef. Mike loved being an outdoorsman, cruising, working, fishing, listening to music and cooking, but most of all, he loved his family and friends. Mike was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons, John Guillen (Karlah Herrera) and Angelo Salazar (Savina Martinez); sister, Patricia Martinez (Glenn); brothers, Frank Guillen (Nancy), Henry Guillen (Roberta); step-father, Victor Aranda, grandchildren, Mikiaela Guillen, Cruz and Mia Salazar and Anastancia Atencio; special niece Lynette Guillen; close friends, Philip Bustos and Romanita Salazar; close cousins, Alan and Bobby Lucero, Sue Rabener (Lee) and many other beloved relatives, friends and family. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Enrique Guillen, Jeremy Martinez, Dustin Guillen, Anita Guillen, Nicole Guillen, Melanie Guillen, Billie Jo Martinez, Dillon Montoya, David Guillen, O'Ryan Guillen and Jeff Rabener.  Dad, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. We love you.  Public visitation will take place on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A Memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Dixon Community Senior Center.
