John T. Sutton Sr., 82 a resident of Los Alamos, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, December 6, 2015. John was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts where he met and married his sweetheart, Alyce M. Comeau, in September 1956. In the early 1960’s John joined EG&G and later, in 1970, relocated his family to Los Alamos. John worked his entire career as an engineer with EG&G and Bechtel until retiring in the early 2000’s. John had many interests, which included flying light airplanes, building model airplanes, and golfing. John even shot a 72 on his 72nd birthday at the Los Alamos golf course. John loved the outdoors and showed that love by taking his entire family camping in almost every state. John was proud to serve in the US Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. John was preceded in death by his parents, Oda and Louise Sutton, and by his bride of 59 years, Alyce M. Sutton. He is survived by his sister, Louise Sutton of Danvers MA; son, John T. Sutton Jr. and wife Shelli of Albuquerque; son, James R. Sutton of Albuquerque; son, David M. Sutton and wife Gillian of Los Alamos; daughter, Carolann “Charlie” Cody and husband Kenneth of Robinson TX; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00am with interment to follow at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. The family of John T.
