JOHN JOSEPH LOVATO (AKA J.J.), 25, a resident of Hernandez passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 31, 2015. J.J. was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lorenzo Humphrey Aragon; paternal grandparents, Joe and Beatrice Lovato; uncle, Frankie Aragon and cousin, Benny Lovato. J.J. is survived by a son, Jonathon Tafoya; parents, Joseph Lovato and Elizabeth Aragon of Hernandez; grandmother, Olivia Grijalva; sisters, Olivia Aragon and Lito Martinez of Albuquerque, Esperanza Lovato and Julian Contreras of El Llano; nephew, Justin, niece Skylah; close cousin raised like a sister, Esther Vaughn and Julian of Espanola, favorite cousin, Jose Lovato of Espanola; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez, with a burial to follow at the San Jose Cemetery. A meal will be held at the San Jose Church in Hernandez following the burial. The family of John Joseph Lovato (aka J.J.) has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
