Johanna Wilhelmina Ogle, known by family and friends as Minnie, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Johanna was 96 years old. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ryndert and Augusta Schouten; sister, Lida Graybill, and brothers Arend and Riendert Schouten.\r\nJohanna grew up in Las Vegas, NV and moved to Los Alamos, NM, in 1944 with her husband William E. Ogle who worked on the Manhattan project. In 1963, they moved to the Pojoaque Valley where they built their home. She had great love, advice and play for the many children in her life. She hosted many marvelous parties and dinners. Johanna was the consummate matriarch who devoted her life to her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bridge, crocheting, and silversmithing. She was loved and respected for her wisdom and humor. She will be greatly missed.\r\nMinnie is survived by her sister Louisa Stavert and brother Albert Schouten (Marilyn), her five children William Ogle (Mary) of Jaconita; James Ogle (Teresa) of Albuquerque, Jean Yabroff (Steve) of Woodinville, WA; Mark Ogle (Renea) Wasilla, AK; and Mona Valencia (John) of El Rancho, NM. Ten grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. A special thank you to caregivers Clara, Rebecca, and Cleo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
