Joe Teodolo Herrera also known as Mr. T., 73, a resident of Nambe passed away from a lengthy illness on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Joe was a carpenter by trade and proprietor of The Latilla Business in Cuyamungue for numerous years. He was a disabled Veteran of the United States Army. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Eloy and Guadalupita Herrera; paternal grandparents, David and Manuelita Herrera; maternal grandparents, Jose Maria and Julianita Ortiz; brother, Jose Maria Herrera; nephew, Tommy Herrera, Jr. Joe is survived by his son, Joe T. Herrera Jr. and wife Stephanie; grandson, Isaiah Herrera; granddaughter, Vanessa Herrera all of Rio Rancho; brothers/sisters: Eloy Herrera and wife Isabel of Nambe, Minnie Vigil and husband Bobby of Chimayo, Lydia Archuleta of Nambe, Abby Salazar and husband Phil of Española, Shirley Hernandez and husband Charles of Santa Fe, Jesus, Sammy and Tommy Herrera of Nambe, Julie Roberts and husband Preston of Los Lunas, Tim and Donald Herrera of Nambe; numerous nephews/nieces, uncles/aunts & a multitude of friends. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe with burial to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with the following serving as pallbearers: Mark Romero, Andy Vigil, Jerry Valdez, Tony Herrera, Adam Hernandez, Michael Garcia; honorary pallbearers: Jose Maria Herrera, Jr., Rodney Herrera.
