Joe D. - Age 36 - Chimayo Fresquez-Galvan

JOE D. FRESQUEZ-GALVAN, 36, a resident of Chimayo, went home with the Lord our Father on Saturday, March 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Aniceto and Magdalena Montoya; paternal grandparents, Faustin and Soledad Galvan and brother, Jimmy “Jamo” Fresquez. Joe was a loving and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Joe’s pride and joy was his “Caddy” he was customizing. Mr. Fresquez-Galvan is survived by his daughter, Jolene Ortiz; parents, Joe Galvan and Elena Fresquez; sisters, Evelyn Vigil and husband Ramon, Lucy Rodriguez, Sharon Galvan and companion Dion Moya and Martha Armijo and husband Steve; brothers, Leroy and Michael Fresquez and padrinos, Harry and Teresa Sanchez and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Ramon Vigil, Steve Armijo, Gene Espinoza, Arthur Mendoza, Leonard Gurule and Travis Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers named are, his nephews and nieces. The family of Joe D. Fresquez-Galvan has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
