JOE RODRIGUEZ, 75, a resident of Rio Lucio, NM passed away two days short of his 76th Birthday on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Rodriguez son-in-law Demetrio Martinez, parents, Sebedeo and Amelia Rodriguez; sisters, Pauline Salas and Bernie Martinez, brothers, Rudolfo, Nick, Roger, and Ferdinando Rodriguez and mother of his children, Bonnie Rodriguez. He is survived by his children, Geraldine Martinez, Roland (Kandi) Rodriguez, Carmela Rodriguez (Anthony) Rodriguez; grandchildren, DJ, Gerald(Marquita) and Bonnie Rose Rodriguez, great-granddaughter, Zareyah; brother, Eli and mom Felicia; his companion Irene Lovato and her children, Annette Gurule, Eileen (Steve) Maestas, Matthew (Rochelle) Sandoval, Michael and Paul Sandoval; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette (Julian) Vigil, Sylvia (Manuel), Soliz, Beatrice (Sam) Fresquez and Lorraine Martinez; sisters-in-law, Gladys Rodriguez, Florida Miera, Lupita Rodriguez, and brother-in-law, Robert Martinez. Joe retired from KSL in 2000 and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with children and his companion Irene, his precious baby girls Zay and Bonnie Rose. He enjoyed going to the Casino, camping, hunting and making people laugh. The family would like to thank the Giving staff and nurses who took care of him during his time of need, especially Lisa Gallegos, Iona Ortiz, Karen Castagna, Sylvia Vigil, Leanne Martinez, Susan Eichner, Kandi Martinez, and caretaker Gerald Rodriguez. A rosary will be recited on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Penasco. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. also at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Penasco. Serving the family as pallbearers are Gerald Rodriguez, DJ Rodriguez, Bonnie Rose Rodriguez, Zareyah Rodriguez.
