Joe Mark Martinez

Joe Mark Martinez was born on January 18, 1963, and was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on November 6, 2024. Mark was a life-long resident of Cuartelez, NM. 

Mark was preceded in death by his loving parents Jose E and Aurora Martinez of Cuartelez, brothers Larry Martinez and Ron Martinez. 

Mark is survived by his brother Archie and wife Soledad, brother Adam and wife Susan, and sister-in-law Doreen Martinez all from Cuartelez; Godson Gabriel Sanchez from Pojoaque, and many nieces and nephews.

Mark worked at the Pojoaque Super Market for many years. He enjoyed his time there and made many friends. He loved going to car shows and taking his nephews along for the road trip. He enjoyed going to the casino and trying his luck and he especially loved his trips to Laughlin. He always looked forward to spending time visiting his neighbors, sharing stories, and having a beer. 

Mark, you will be missed more than words can say, but your memory will live on forever.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday November 18, 2024, at 10:30 am, with Mass to follow at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Church. The burial will take place at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Mark’s brothers Archie and Adam Martinez. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark’s nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mark’s memory to La Capilla de La Sangre De Cristo in Cuartelez.
