JOE A. LUCERO, 81, a resident of Española, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Teresina Lucero and numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. Lucero is survived by his cousins, Tony Borrego of White Rock, Henry Garcia and wife Sarah of Cuarteles, Carmelita Lucero of Phoenix, Arizona; special friends, Henry and Sandra Anderson and numerous other relatives and friends. Public Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, Henry Garcia, Louis, Danny, John and James Borrego. The family of Joe A.
