Joe Dennis (JD) Mascarenas, 60, lifetime resident of Chamita, NM went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2018. He was self-employed and he enjoyed riding his Harleys. He loved spending time with his wife “Roses” and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son JD Mascarenas Jr., mother Donelia Mascarenas, father Sostenes J. Mascarenas, paternal grandparents Antonia and Meliton Mascarenas, maternal grandparents Juan and Rosuarda Martinez, brothers Michael and Johnny Mascarenas, sister Barbara Jean Mascarenas, nieces and nephews Eric Vigil, Angel Garcia, Eliza Martinez and John Paul Martinez Jr. Father in law Melisendro H. Duran and Brothers in law Melisendro Jr., Joseph Floyd Trujillo and Pablo Duran. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Rosie Mascarenas, grandchildren Damian and Larissa Mascarenas, mother of his grandchildren Tammy Trujillo, brothers and sisters Harold Mascarenas and wife Maria, Peter Mascarenas and wife Frances, Mark Mascarenas and wife Esther, Lorraine Sisneros, Carmella Martinez and companion Gilbert Ulibarri, Barbara Vigil and companion Pancho and Diana Martinez. JD is also survived by his mother in law Eugenia Duran of Chamita, brothers and sisters in law, Betty Espinoza and husband Manuel, Gene Duran and companion Stella, Marylou Hoffman Duran, Abel Duran, Connie Montoya and husband Michael, LouAnna Maestas and husband Milton, Joe Duran and wife Robin, Patricio Duran and wife Mari, Pauline Rael and husband, Rubel, Brenda Marquez and husband Rogelio, Goldyne Duran, many beloved neices, nephews and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, January 12th 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Community Center in Chamita. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita. Assisting the family as pallbearers will be Patricio Duran, Rick Mascareñas, Jerry Gonzales, Randy Martinez, Steve Martinez, Dave Maestas, Josh Triebal and Brian Caudillo. Honorary pallbearers are, Damian and Larissa Mascareñas, Kevin Garcia, Eloy Vigil, Frank Lewis, Jeff Diaz and Norman DeHerrera. Special thanks to the crew that dug the grave, Gloria Roybal for the use of the Community Hall. Especially to everyone for the Calls, Food, Visits, Cards and Monetary Donations.
