Jim Romero went to our Lord in Heaven on Friday, November 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, James Romero; infant child, Betty Romero; parents, Virginia T. and Jose de la Cruz Romero; Eugenio and Claritia Seña; sisters, Marina Sauzo , Rose Skinner, Feliann Valles, Catherine Romero and his grandson Johnny Martinez Jr. Mr. Romero is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Josephine Romero; daughters, Eleanor and Earl Gutierrez, Charlene and Areli Gonzales; Annabell Martinez; Donna and Horacio Archuleta and Michael Martinez; brothers and sisters, Paul and Viola Romero, Tony Romero, Angelino Romero, Teri and Dan Daly, Josephine Rhoan, Clyde and Marie Romero and Martha Gonzales; Godson, Danny Daly; grandchildren, Janice Martinez, Loriann Gonzales, Sasha Gonzales, Nicholas Martinez, Megan Martinez, James Archuleta, Jamie Martinez, Justin Archuleta, Mikey Martinez and Al Jimmy Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Nastasha Abeyta, Josephine Huesers, Chris Abeyta, Violet Huesers, Jeremy Huesers, Mario Valerio, Tilo Valerio, Toby Martinez, Patrick Martinez and Lily Mascarenas; great-great grandchildren, Mariah and Hope Gutierrez, Jordan Casias and many other beloved nephews, nieces, and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Assisi Catholic Church in Taos, followed with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. at the Rosario Chapel in Santa Fe, followed with a burial at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
