Jerry Age - 63 - Petaca Benavidez

Jerry Benavidez, 63, a resident of Petaca passed away from a lengthy illness on Sunday, April 29, 2012. He loved spending time with his family & friends, always telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He had a wonderful sense of humor who will be missed by all. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Agneda Benavidez; brother, Ernesto Jaramillo, Sr.; sister, Rose Martinez; nephews: Patrick, Julian, and Anthony Lovato, Ernesto Jaramillo, Jr., Wilfred and Walter Martinez; niece, Mildred Martinez. Jerry is survived by his sisters: Lucy Lovato of Petaca, Udella Romero and companion Lander Sanchez of Albuquerque, Anabelle Peglow and husband Johnnas of Servilleta, Orlina Trujillo and husband Lee of Servilleta, Jane Romero of Servilleta, Paulina Arragon of Edwards, CO, Teresa Hernandez and husband Roman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lupe Heard and husband Darryl of Eagle, CO and Lorretta Vigil and husband Theodore of Silverton, CO; brother, Eric Gallegos and wife Misty of Gypsum, CO; lifelong best friend, Jimmy Esquibel; uncles: Aurelio Benavidez of Petaca and Sebedeo Benavidez of Farmington; very close nieces: Mildred Torrez, Ruby Roybal-Trujillo and Julie Roybal; numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at La Divina Pastora in Petaca with burial to follow at Petaca Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Adolfo, Martin and James Torrez, Julian Lovato, Morris Lovato and Joe Trujillo. Special thanks to the nurses and staff from Ambercare Hospice, and Options Home Care.
