Jerry Barboa

Jerry T. Barboa, age 73, of El Ríto, NM, was born May 28, 1950 and was taken to be with our Lord on August 28, 2023. 

Jerry is preceded in death by his father Tircio Barboa, mother Ruth Alderete, baby brother Robert Christopher Barboa and baby daughter Jackie Marie Barboa.

Jerry is survived by his loving sons, Christopher Barboa of Rio Rancho, Matthew Cody Barboa and his wife Melissa of San Angelo Texas, as well as his grandchildren who were his pride and joy Trey, Izzy and Emmett Barboa, his companion of 22 years Edna Vasquez of El Rito, the mother of his children, Carmen Barboa, his brother David and his wife Margaret Barboa of Albuquerque.

Jerry was retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory, as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, fishing, cruising in the mountains, camping, and playing guitar. His laughter, jokes and knowledge to fix anything will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Christian services will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church located at 913 La Joya St, Española, NM 87532. A private burial will take place at a later date.
