It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jerry Archuleta on March 3, 2025.
Jerry was born and raised in Espanola, NM. He was well known for his outgoing personality and his love for Low Riders. He was proud to be from the Espanola Valley and loved the culture that Espanola is known for. Jerry spoke to everyone regardless of whether you were a well-known friend, an acquaintance or a stranger. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Jerry began his life on December 10, 1971. He lived a great life and there are countless, wonderful memories and stories to be shared. In 2008, he became a proud father to Deyton Archuleta. Deyton was his pride and joy. The two of them were inseparable. It was not uncommon to see them cruising down Riverside Drive in the Monte Carlo on a Sunday afternoon. Jerry was so proud of Deyton and worked hard to give him the best life.
He was preceded in death by his brother Billy Joe; father Valquin Archuleta (Kino); maternal grandparents Juan and Rosa Romero, and paternal grandparents, Severo and Renee Archuleta.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Placida; son Deyton, brother Harold; sisters Donna (Antonio) and Terry (Chris), and paternal half-siblings Nancy, Andrew, Adam and Orlando. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Devargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM.
Although Jerry is breakdancing in Heaven, his legacy of laughter, love and culture will live on forever.
