Jerry - Age 66 - Nambe Garcia

Jerry Garcia, born December 11, 1944 of Nambe died peacefully on December 22, 2010 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his son Anhel, father Wilfred Garcia, mother Rose Sandoval, stepfather Vicente Sandoval, grandmother Eustacia Garcia. He is survived by his wife Elvira Ortiz y Garcia, daughter Bonita Flor Garcia and husband James Alarid, grandchildren Santana and Cruz Garcia-Alarid, daughters Sonrisa and Cristal Ortiz y Garcia. Brothers and sisters; Veronica Gomez (Bennie), Vicente Sandoval (Isabel), Valerie Jones (T.J.), Victor Sandoval (Liz), Velma Thilo (Wayne). Special family members; aunts Aurora Medina and Juanita Misere, almost daughter Sandra Gabaldon (Martin) and almost brother Orlando Romero (Rebecca). Brothers and sisters-in-law Violet Roybal (Patrick), Josina Ortiz, Leroy Ortiz (Ruby), Dora Ortiz, Anne Scovel (Clint), Amadeo Ortiz (Marcella), Charles Ortiz and Miranda Ortiz. Many nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. All his nieces and nephews on the Sandoval and Ortiz side are his honorary pallbearers.
