Jerome Isaiah Chavez

Our Beloved Jerome Isaiah Chavez, 22, was sadly taken from us to be with our lord May 29, 2023.

Jerome was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Chavez and Lawrence Salazar, aunt Louann Chavez and Uncle Leo Chavez.

Jerome is survived by his son Raiden; companion Savannah Romero; parents Loretta Salazar and Adrian Chavez Sr.; brothers Adrian, Joshua Chavez and Joseph Martinez; grandmothers MaryAnn Martinez and Sally Chavez; aunt Florence (Lita) Cisneros; uncle Lawrence (Trish) Salazar and numerous cousins, friends and family.

Jerome was raised in Hernandez with his mother and brothers. He later moved to Arroyo Seco with his companion Savannah Romero and son Raiden. He also spent a lot of his time in Chimayo at his grandmothers Sally’s.

Jerome’s world revolved around his pride and joy, his son Raiden. He loved music, dancing, painting, playing Video games, and more than anything, making people laugh with his humorous personality. He loved spending time with his brothers fishing and barbequing. He lit up a room with his presence, he truly was a heart of Gold. He will be greatly missed and will forever be held close to our hearts.

Rosary will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel in  Espanola, NM. Mass will be on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez, NM and burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Adrian Chavez Jr, Joshua Chavez, Joseph Martinez, Jesse Olivas Jr., Jennifer Martinez.
