JEREMY VIGIL

JEREMY REY RUBEN VIGIL , 29, a resident of Espanola, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his father, Ruben Vigil; maternal grandmother, Marggie Maes; paternal grandmother, Tila Vigil, grandfather, Florian Vigil; uncle, John Tafoya, aunt, Dorothy Dominguez; cousins, Maggie Dominguez, and Alicia Dominguez. Jeremy Vigil was a very kindhearted loving person, he was always willing to help those in need. He was perceived as intimidating but his family all saw him as a big teddy bear. Jeremy gave no one a last farewell, nor did he say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. A million times we will miss you, a million times we will cry. If love alone could have saved you, you would have never died. He is survived by his wife Jenine Vigil-Ocana; children, Faith Vigil, Maggie Mae Vigil; step-child, Alexis Chavez; his pet, Mari Vigil; mother, Robin Salais; brothers, Manuel Salais and wife Josephine Cata and his children, Manuel Salais Jr., Isabelle Salais, brothers, Joshua Andrade, Leroy Vigil and his children, Jodyn Lopez, Jeremiah Vigil, brother, Tony Vigil and his child Jonathan Vigil, sister, Rhiannon Montoya and her children, Angelee Bustos and Lexiee Bustos, Robyn Montoya and Walter Bustos, sister, Marianita Salais and her husband Paul Nazario and their children, Isaiah Hernandez AKA Horsie Joseph Salais and Annie Padilla; maternal grandfather, Reynaldo Tafoya. Public visitation will begin on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española. Burial to follow at the Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Manuel Salais, Joshua Andrade, Dominic Gonzales, Norman Martinez, Daryll Williams, Jose Rodriguez AKA Chuch, Aurturo Camargo, Isaiah Hernandez and Sixto Aguierro. Honorary pallbearers named are, Leroy and Tony Vigil, Amadeo Jose Romero, Nathan Lucero and Scott Eberhardy. The family of Jeremy Rey Ruben has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
