Jennifer Marie Naranjo

Jennifer Marie Naranjo, 40 a resident of Espanola, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Father’s Day, June 18, 2023, after bravely enduring a lengthy illness.  Jennifer loved all her family and adored her father and brother who were devoted to her care and well-being until her passing.  Jennifer loved to read; an avid reader where she would eagerly finish one book and start the next.  She also enjoyed the challenges of complex puzzles and worked meticulously until completion.  She loved all animals especially her pet cats, dogs, and farm animals that her family raised.  Jennifer loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and hunting with her Dad and Brother and loved the day trips they took to different mountain ranges and lakes.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy L. Naranjo, her maternal grandparents, Joy and Horace Martinez, her paternal grandparents, Jose Melicendro and Bernie Naranjo and a special cousin, Robert Aaron Naranjo. 

Jennifer is survived by her father, Benje Naranjo and her brother, Kenneth Naranjo.  Her aunts, Rosemarie Lujan, Barbara (John) Ricci, uncle, Donald (Kathy) Naranjo, cousins Jeffery and Jeremy Naranjo, and Brandon Ricci and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services are scheduled for June 26, 2023, at 10:00 am at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada in Santa Cruz, NM, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz.

Pallbearers: Kenneth Naranjo, Donald Naranjo, Brandon Ricci, Wallie Mascarenas, Greg Lopez and Paul Quintana.
