Jeanette L. - Age 49 Maestas

Jeanette L. Maestas – Age 49 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2011 following a short term illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Manuel R. Maestas; her father, Diego Ortiz; and grandmother-in-law, Epimenia Salazar. She is survived by her five children: Roxanne Maestas and fiancé James Garcia of Albuquerque, Joel Maestas, Joseph Maestas and fiancé Camille Sena, Rhonda Maestas and Justin Maestas all of Rio Chama; 7 grandchildren: Gilbert Salazar, Dennis Salazar, Jeremiah Salazar and Josiah Garcia all of Albuquerque, Destiny Maestas, Elijah Maestas and Thalia Maestas of Rio Chama; mother, Domitila Ortiz of Chimayo; her brother, Diego Ortiz and kids of Chimayo; sister, Rey Griswald and husband Fred of San Diego, CA; aunts: Connie Martinez of Santa Cruz, and Sennie Kaufman of Wisconsin; uncle, Tom Velarde; mother-in-law, Vitalia Maestas of Española; father-in-law, Manuel J. Maestas of Rio Chama; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Burial will follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez. The family of Jeanette L.
