\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Jeanette Viarrial-Quintana - Age 60, a resident of El Llano and formerly of Alcalde passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 following a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, Vicente E. Viarrial; sister, Diane Rosenblum; and madrina, Mary Nowinski. Jeanette worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory for numerous years. She was employed at both the New Mexico State Police and the City of Española Police Department. Jeanette loved Elvis Presley, lived life to the fullest and enjoyed and loved her sons and doted on her granddaughters. She is survived by her 2 sons: Daniel Quintana of Española and Joe Paul Quintana and companion Elena Roybal of Española; 2 granddaughters: ShaunTae and Amarissa Quintana both of Española; mother, Modesta Ruiz and husband Alfonso of Alcalde; brother, Vicente Joseph Viarrial and companion Sheila of Santa Fe; 2 sisters: Elizabeth Jimenez and husband Mickey of California and Shirley Salazar and husband Sammy of La Mesilla; daughter-in-law, Cindy Sherman of Dixon; father of her sons and dear friends: Joe P. Quintana and wife Ramona of San Pedro; brother-in-law, Mike Hoffman of Albuquerque a special thanks to Mike Hoffman for his support and prayers during her illness; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Cremation arrangements have been made. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo.
