Jason Ribas – born August 9, 1985 – June 23, 2016
Jason passed away near his beloved Rio Grande River on June 23, 2016. Jason was a beautiful, sensitive soul, living in a harsh world that most of us can handle. He was born on August 9, 1985 at the Espanola Hospital. Jason received an AA degree from Santa Fe Community College and studied Psychology at UNM. He was a partner of the Santa Fe Insurance Group.
Jason loved fishing, camping, backpacking and meditating. He lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but loved his childhood home in Ojo Sarco, New Mexico the most.
Jason was a deep thinker and studied all of the major religions, eventually coming to his own unique spirituality. He pushed those around him to open their mind and heart to see the world through his eyes in order to understand his deeper wisdom. He believed he would have a major influence on the world and in his passing has changed the lives of all  those who loved and cherished him.
Jason is survived by his parents, Chris and Rita Ribas; sister, Sophia Ribas, and daughter, Charlotte Rain Primuth; Jason’s three children; Elijah Valdez and Anthony Ribas (Samantha Valdez, mother), Aria Ribas, aka “Baby Love” (Cloe Pocock, mother); and his maternal grandmother, Dorothea Montoya. Other relatives are Claude Ribas, Eve Ribas, Matthew Ribas and Mona Hettich, Richard and Valerie Montoya, Steve and Denise Montoya, Victoria and Larry Lopez, Daniel Montoya, Roger Montoya and Salvador Ruiz; Haud Hayward, Clane Hayward, Max Montoya, Nicholas Montoya, Kevin Montoya, Jessica Gonzales, Deonna Montoya, Danielle Sandoval, Kristin Lopez, Sabra, Malcolm and Milo Lovejoy and Hannah Ribas.
He was predeceased in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Lore Ribas, his maternal grandfather, Jose Amado Montoya, Madeline Lovejoy and Random Lovejoy.  As Jason chose to return to the universe instead of the earth, a rosary will be held on July 9, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Ojo Sarco Church, and a celebration at this childhood home in Ojo Sarco on July 10th beginning at 2:00 p.m. (House #410 County Road 73, Ojo Sarco, NM  87521.
