Janaee Alliyah Martinez, 2 years old, a resident of Chimayo passed away after a short illness on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Janaee had a smile that would brighten up your day. She will be dearly missed by all whom came in contact or knew her. “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes: there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain for the former things have passed away.” Revelations 21:4 She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Antonio and Gregoria Martinez; maternal grandparents, Lorraine and Sabino Martinez; uncles: Benjie Martinez and Tomas Moya; cousin, Juanito Martinez; numerous other loving relatives. Janaee is survived by her mother, Renee Martinez of Chimayo; sister, Destinee Alcala of Chimayo; step-father, Chris Alcala; godparents, Jesse and Elena Martinez of Chimayo; aunts/uncles: Johnny and Andrea Martinez of Chimayo, Tomas Ramirez and companion Jolyn Martinez of Chimayo; great-aunts/uncles: Orlinda and Lucresia Martinez of Chimayo, Gilberto and Olga Martinez of Chimayo; cousins: Angel Trujillo, Angel Moya, Antoinette Ramirez, Lorraine, Edward and companion Gina Herrera, Evan, Jared and Javon Martinez, Antonio Ramirez, Austin and Ambros Dominguez, Jayven, Nathan, Josh and Gilbert Martinez Jr., Marvin and Caroline Trujillo of Española ; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chris Alcala, Jared and Javon Martinez, Antonio Ramirez, Austin and Ambros Dominguez; honorary pallbearers: Edward And Evan Martinez, Antionette Ramirez, Gina Rivera, Nathan and Joshua Martinez.
