James J. "Jim" -age 68 - La Puebla Montoya

James J. “Jim” Montoya, 68, a resident of La Puebla, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. James was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Elvira Montoya; In-laws, Emery and Libby Gerzanich; son-in-law, Orlando Garcia; niece, Estefanita Montoya. James was a general manager of Santa Fe Rentals, later RSC in Santa Fe for over 45 years. James is survived by his wife, Francine Montoya; children, Elizabeth Garcia, Michelle Montoya and companion, Alan, Jimmy Montoya Jr. and spouse, Racheal; grandkids, Orlando Garcia, Carly Moreno and husband Ervey, Cristie Garcia, Natalia Montoya, great-grandkids, Sophia and Christian Moreno; brother, Robert Montoya; nephew, Pete R. Montoya, and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with a memorial Mass to be recited at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at a later date. The family of James J. “Jim” Montoya has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
