James E. Age - 48 - Chili Archuleta

James E. Archuleta, 48, a resident of Chili passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and an awesome father-in-law. James attended McCurdy and Pojoaque, and graduated from Pojoaque Valley High School. He also attended Mew Mexico State in Las Cruces as well. His love of sports was evident in the countless hours he volunteered as a coach. He also enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. James also proudly served in the United States Navy after high school, and worked as a glazer in the family Glass Shop alongside his father. He was loved by the students at Carlos Vigil Middle School as a security guard. James is survived by his parents, Jose E. and Frances Archuleta of Chili; children: Jordan Archuleta and husband Jesus Andujo of Chili, Jacki Archuleta and fiancé Diego Miramontes of Hernandez, Jessy Archuleta of Chili, Janae and James Jr. Archuleta; grandchildren: Melaki Archuleta, Harmony Vigil, Faith Archuleta, Jeramiah Archuleta; uncles: Mike Archuleta and wife Teddie of Terra Azul, David Archuleta of Cebolla; aunts: Della Baker of Española, Julia Casados of San Pedro, Florence Roybal of El Rito; numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving as pallbearers, Juan Archuleta, Diego Miramonte, Daniel Gutierrez, Luis Archuleta, Jason Roybal and Rueben Maxwell.
