James C. Dalton, 57, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, surrounded by loved ones. Jim was born on October 6, 1953 to Lloyd Rudolph and Lena Mae Dalton in Somerset, KY. Jim served in the United States Air Force and worked at LANL. He will be remembered for his love of taking pictures. Jim will always be remembered as a big man with an even bigger heart. Jim accepted his journey with Alzheimers and brought awareness of it to the community. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Mae Dalton; brother, Jesse David Dalton. Jim is survived by his wife Debra of Los Alamos; daughters: Denise Romero and husband Fermin of Los Alamos, Christine Dalton and husband Clint of Velarde; step-daughter, Bobbi Lou McCloskey and husband David of Albuquerque; step-son, Steven Hand and wife Alexandera of Ames, IA; father, Lloyd Rudolph Dalton and wife Emma of Ohio; brothers: Lloyd A. (Butch) Dalton and wife Pam of Ohio, Rudy D. Dalton and wife Charlene of Ohio; sister, Shirley Molden and husband Vertrees of KY; seven grandchildren: Taylor, Lena, Catelynn, Joshua, Justin, Ryan and Trenity; numerous nephews and neices. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Decemeber 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Bible Church in Los Alamos on 97 East Road. In lieu of flower the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, www.alz.org. The family of Jim Dalton has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
