James Bryon Lujan, a beloved husband, father, coach, and friend, passed away on January 13th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 25, 1977, James grew up in Chimayo, New Mexico, with his loving parents, Elmer & Liz, and sister Tracy. Chimayo was a place that shaped his love for the outdoors, community and family.

James spent most of his life with his wife, Tracy Lujan, and their four vibrant children, Kendall Lujan, Amber Skye Lujan, James (Bubba) Lujan and Javin Lujan in El Llano, New Mexico. His life was defined by an unwavering devotion to his family and his community. For 24 years, James was a sports coach, becoming a recognized name in his community as he inspired, guided, and cared for the kids he coached as though they were his own. He was also a big supporter of his own kids and their development as avid sports players and in all other extracurricular activities. From robotics club, baseball, basketball, wrestling, soccer, football, running, to cheerleading and student council, he always showed up cheering them on. James was a man of many passions. As a lifelong Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, James also loved attending professional sports games, often bringing his charisma and enthusiasm to every event.

His love of storytelling, his contagious sense humor, and his joyful spirit left an undeniable mark on everyone he met. James also had a knack for collecting trinkets and a deep appreciation for Star Wars, often sharing his excitement for these passions with family and friends. A tech nerd and lifelong learner, he enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together, always curious about the world around him. James first graduated from ITT Technical Institute with a degree in Networking & Cybersecurity and then went on to Grand Canyon University graduating with a masters degree in Business Administration & Information Technology Security, a testament to his dedication to personal growth and learning.
