JAMES REYNAL GARCIA, 38, a resident of El Guache, passed away of a lengthy illness on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Garcia; brother, Ivan Garcia; paternal grandparents, Felix and Erminia Garcia; uncle, Gilbert Garcia; cousin, Denette Gallegos. James was the greatest chef and loved the outdoors, he loved hunting and was an avid gun and knife collector. He also loved going for firewood with his grandpa Robert. He was very knowledgeable. James was a talented artist, and he loved drawing, painting and sketching. He is survived by his mother, Amanda Garcia of El Guache; grandfather, Robert and “Honey” Alice Gallegos of Santa Cruz; his God-son, Thomas Martinez, Jr.; God-father/uncle, Dennis Gallegos, Sr. and wife Angela; uncle, Donald and wife Nina Gallegos; ex-spouse and his love, Francine Garcia of Nambe; cousins, Dennis Jr., Denielle, Jairus, Jaia, Jorinthian and Damian Gallegos; paternal aunts God-mother/aunt, Annabelle Noga and husband Robert, Angela and husband Waldy Griego; cousins, Christina Garcia, Thomas Martinez, Brian Lopez, Rachel Garcia, Sammy Cordova, Jr., Tommy Martinez and many other relatives. Public Visitation will begin on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
