James A. Brown Jr., 20, a resident of Peñasco, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016.  On this day, earth lost a beautiful and loving soul, and Heaven gained an Angel.   Jamo, as he was known to his family and friends was very well loved by everyone who knew him.  James is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sylvia Brown, cousin Brandon Brown, and grandfather Patrick Aragon.  James is survived by his parents, James Brown, Sr. and Pamela Gallegos-Brown, Rita and Marcos Serna; two brothers, Walter Brown and Gabe Serna, two sisters Alexandria Sandoval and Sylvia Brown; grandparents, Larry Brown, Eloy and Delores Gallegos and Bertha Aragon; God parents, Joseph Availa and Carol Brown; aunts, Joan Brown, Patricia Martinez (Dennis), Lori Montgomery (Rob), Rachel Rascon (Ivan), uncles, Gene Brown, Roy Brown (Rose), Nathan Gonzales, Samuel Gallegos (Patty), and Robert Aragon.  Other family and friends too numerous to mention. Jamo’s departure leaves a void in the lives of his family and friends, but he also leaves an imprint of his love in the hearts of all who knew him and this will never be erased.  Public visitation will begin on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the Mascarenas Cemetery, El Llano de San Juan three miles away from church.
