Jack R. Markham, 82, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Jack was a life member of American Legion, Veteran’s of Foreign War. He was a U.S. Marine and served in WWII, Fraternal order of the Eagle, Life member of the Los Alamos Fire Brigade. Jack enjoyed life, fishing, boating, hunting and the outdoors. He was an avid gardener and loved his roses and his dog Forester. He is survived by children: Jack Markham Jr. of Los Alamos, Debra Crain and husband Marc of South Carolina, Beverly Warner and husband Sam of Los Alamos; Brother: Roger Clough and wife Catherine of Los Alamos; sisters: Carrie Gallaher of Albuquerque, Iris Harrington of Connecticut; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. A Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Burial to take place at Guaje Pines in Los Alamos, New Mexico with the following serving as pallbearers: Sam Warner, Kyle Markham, Marc Crain, Tony Maina, John Abrums, Peter Malmgren.
