Ismael Duran

Ismael Duran, 36, a resident of Española, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Ismael was a roofer, he loved all kinds of animals, especially his dogs. He was an avid sports fan of the L.A. Lakers and the “49”ers. He was a member of the Catholic Faith, and he loved to joke around. His son, Mario was his best friend. Ismael will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Veronica, his family, friends, and many relatives. Ismael is survived by his loving wife, Veronica; and son, Mario both of Española; parents, Andres and Florence Duran of Hernandez; brothers, Rogelio (Gabriella) of Hernandez, Antonio (Rosy) of Española, Andres (Erika) of Española, Pedro of Mexico, sisters, Manuella Duran of Mexico, Maria Duran of Phoenix Az, Rosy Duran of Hernandez, and Jesusita Carrillo of Grants; nephews and nieces, Jessica Duran, Laura Duran, Juaquin Duran, Angelica Duran, Kaleb Duran, Naomi Carrillo, Aydn Duran, Jordynn Duran, and Lexy Duran all of Hernandez, Nisa Duran of Albuquerque, Neveah Duran, Mia Duran, Alex Duran, Sidney Duran, and Ariana Duran, Lalony Montano, and Kaley Montano all of Española, Anthony Rodriguez of Grants. A public visitation will begin on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. The family of Ismael Duran has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
