ISABEL M. MARTINEZ, 73, a resident of Española, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Josephine Martinez; brother, Joe L. Martinez; former husband Andres Maestas. Isabel is survived by her children, Diana Maestas Duchene of Phoenix AZ, Mike Maestas of Placitas, Andrew Maestas (Darlene) of Española, Steven Maestas (Yvonne) of Albuquerque, Veronica Maestas Wing (James) of Rio Rancho; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ross R. Martinez (Flora), Tony D. Martinez Jr. (Rita), Orlando Martinez (Josephine), Guadalupe Martinez and Stella Rael, and numerous relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
