Isabel - Age 64 - Carson/Santa Cruz Jaramillo

ISABEL M. JARAMILLO, 64, a resident of Carson and formerly of Santa Cruz, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 7, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Jaramillo; son, Ernesto “Ernie” Jaramillo; parents, Perfecto Herrera and Adelina Maestas; brothers, Leroy, Joseph and Lawrence Maestas; aunt, Lucella Maez; sister-in-law, Lydia Herrera; niece, Michelle Herrera and great- nephew, Donny Salazar. Isabel was a loving, caring, generous and giving person. You could never leave without her telling you, I love you and getting a hug. She had a great love for St. Jude, her patron Saint. She loved the outdoors and loved to cook, fish and pick piñon. Isabel is survived by her companion, Dennis Ehlenberger; children, Steve Jaramillo and wife Manerva of Rio Rancho, Eileen and husband Gene Montoya of Guachupangue and Rhianna Jaramillo and companion Jasper of La Peteca; step-daughter, Jessica Martinez; step-dad, Avenicio Maestas; brothers and sisters, Donald Herrera and wife Cordy of New Castle, CO, Julian Herrera and wife Theresa of Santa Fe, Teofilo (Joe) Herrera of Albuquerque, Gilbert Herrera and wife Theresa of Chamita, Martha Valenzuela and husband Jorge of Bernalillo, Celia Martinez and husband Ramon of Chimayo and Becky Arellano of Alcalde; grandchildren, Andrew Trujillo and wife Kristen, Marlyne Jaramillo and companion Vince Campos, Melinda Mitchell and husband Patricio and Steven Jaramillo; step-grandchildren, Diego Montoya and companion Sarah, Andres and companion Ashley, and Christi Montoya, Jonathan and Amanda Velarde and David Ehlenberger, Marky Sisneros, Brook and Sam Martinez; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Aliana and Jacob Mitchel; step-great-grandchildren, Maya Montoya, Anjelica, Angelina and MaKayla Velarde, Jane Sisneros and Ethan; uncle, Joe (Chano) Maez and aunt, Corlinda Lujan; special nieces, Loretta Martinez and Dora Quintana; God-sons, Ronnie Gallegos and Joe (Mario) Herrera and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Donald, Julian, Gilbert and Teofilo (Joe) Herrera, Martha Valenzuela, Celia Martinez and Becky Arellano.
