Inez - Age 72 - La Mesilla - Vigil

Inez Vigil, 72, a resident of La Mesilla, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, September 1, 2014. Inez was preceded in death by her daughters, Roxanne Archuleta, Carla Deann Ortiz, son, Andrew Vigil; parents, Ambrosio and Donelia Archuleta; brothers, Juan A., Luis, Sambran, Jose , Elijio, Freddy and Ambrosio, sister, Fabiola Quintana; nephews, Michael Maestas, and cherished nephew Sammy Boy. Inez is survived by her children, Patricia Archuleta of La Mesilla, Donnie Ortiz and spouse Brenda of Arroyo Seco, Timmy Ortiz of La Mesilla, and Robert Castillo of La Mesilla; special grandsons, Richard Ortiz, Jason Archuleta, great-grandson, Ivan Archuleta, very special granddaughter, Crystal Archuleta; sisters, Amalia Martinez and spouse Lino, Faustina Maestas and spouse Rudy, Maria Owens, Teresa Jennings and spouse Larry as well as numerous grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dolores and Ruth Archuleta, other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, September 8, 2014 10:00 a.m. also at the St. John the Baptist catholic church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at Ojo Caliente Catholic Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Nico Ortiz, Nic Ortiz, Timothy Ortiz Jr., Rudy Maestas, Clarence Vialpando Jr., and Vicente Archuleta, honorary pallbearers Ivan Archuleta, and Angelo Ortiz. The family of Inez Vigil has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
