In Loving Memory of Ida Trujillo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ida, who left us peacefully on February 12,2025, at the age of 89. She was a devoted mother, cherished friend, and a beacon of love and compassion to all who knew her.

Born on September 29,1935, in Truchas NM, Ida was the beloved daughter of Frank and Debari Rodriguez. She grew up in a home filled with love and warmth, values that she carried with her throughout her life.

Ida married the love of her life, Ernest Trujillo, on May 30,1959. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with 4 daughters: Marcella, Debbie, Janet and Tina. Her children were her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them in every possible way.

Ida had a passion for making people smile with her hand-made crosses and various crafts she would make to give away. Her little gifts brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She loved striking up conversations with random people and never passed up the opportunity to tell them how much she loved her kids or grandchildren. 

Ida will be remembered for her boundless love, unwavering support, and the selfless acts of kindness she bestowed upon all who were fortunate to know her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all that she touched.

She was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Debari Rodriguez; brothers, Albert, Porfirio, Eugenio and Samuel Rodriguez; sister, Ermelinda Martinez and daughter Janet Trujillo

She is survived by her loving spouse, Ernest; her daughters, Marcella Coriz, Debbie Trujillo and Tina Blunk; her grandchildren, great grandchildren; sisters Alice Wheeler and Andrietta Romero and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Devotional Service to honor and Celebrate Ida’s Life will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 6:00 pm at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, NM. A Public Viewing will be held at 5:00 pm.

Rest in peace, Ida. Your love and light will continue to guide us, and you will forever remain in our hearts.
