Horacio E. Age - 78 Nambe Valdez

Horacio E. Valdez, Age 78 – a resident of Nambe passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. He was born on March 12, 1932. He was in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War and earned the Korean Service medal with Six Stars; the China Service medal, the United Nations Service medal and also the National Service Defense medal. Horacio was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Eulogia Valdez; brother, Vianes Valdez; sister, Lilly Chaves. He is survived by his children: Rick Valdez, Rachel Valdez, Ramona Valdez and Caprice Valdez; brothers: Benancio Valdez and wife Stella, Marcial Valdez and wife Ademia; sisters: Evelyn Giron, Jenny Vaughn and husband Carlos; sister-in-law, Consuelo Valdez; he is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
