Hipolito (Paul) Valencia, 94, resident of Espanola was called home to be with Our Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Hipolito was preceded in death by his parents Elvira and Jose del Carmel Valencia; brothers Manuel, Juan, Delfin and Gabriel (twin) Valencia; sisters Annie Armstrong, Helen Archuleta and Eduvigen Quintana. Hipolito was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and godfather. He was a member of La Cofradia de la Santisima Trinidad for 45 years, a decorated World War II veteran, and a beloved school bus driver for the Espanola School District. Words cannot describe how dearly he will be missed. Hipolito is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Toni; daughters, Doris Trujillo and husband Levi, Cathy Velarde and husband Ernie; (3) grandchildren, Bryan Trujillo and wife Barbara, Eric Trujillo and wife Veronica and Denise Walker and husband Tim. (7) great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Antonio, Victoria, Felicity, Brody Trujillo and Aaliyah and Brandon Walker; and many very special nephews and nieces as well as many other family and friends. Public Visitation will be Monday, January 18, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, with a rosary to follow at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian burial will to be celebrated on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:00 a. m. at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. at The Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, will be Andrew Garcia, Chris Aguino, Bryan Trujillo, Eric Trujillo, Antonio Trujillo, Tim Walker, Ron Salazar and Issac Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers will be all his great-grandchildren.
