Helen B. Lovato, 50, a resident of Ojo Caliente, NM passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Helen was a loving Daughter, Sister and Mother. She was preceded death by her Father, Eduardo Lovato. She is survived by her three children, Tracy Lovato, Alicia Dominguez, and Christopher Dominguez, all of Ojo Caliente; mother, Mary Lovato; sisters Linda (Michael) Garcia and Barbara Lovato, brothers, Leroy Lovato, James Lovato, Richard Lovato, John (Pat) Lovato, and Fred (Karla) Lovato; her pets that she loved dearly Giddy and Gidget. Helen loved her work and co-workers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Dr. Hertzman's office in Los Alamos. She was very active in the community starting the Los Lobos 4-H Club in Ojo Caliente. She cared deeply for animals and was actively involved with the Espanola Valley Humane Society when she was feeling well. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, with burial to follow at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Danny Garcia, Matthew Garcia, John Lovato, Steven Lovato, Ben Lovato, David Lovato, Phillip Baca and Gilbert Lopez, honorary pallbearers, Gabriel Lovato, Victor Lovato, Matthew Richardson and all her nieces. The family of Helen B. Lovato has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.\r\n
