HARRY ODELL THOMPSON, 75, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry, Sr. and LaRue Thompson; brothers, Normand and Ralph Thompson; sister, Ludean Reynolds and mother and father-in-law, Esquipula and Dulcinia Martinez. Harry was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was born in Milford, Utah and moved to Chimayo in 1980. “He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His favorite pastime was being with his family. He never met a stranger.” Harry loved God, hunting and sharing a good cup of coffee. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Adelita E. Thompson of Chimayo; children, Debbie Trujillo and husband Brian of Medanales, Bernadette Trujillo of Chimayo, Michael Trujillo and wife Pam of Los Alamos, Kelly Thompson and wife Wendy, Kim Thompson, Todd Thompson and wife Flor all of Nevada and Joe Kelsey and wife Diane of Utah; granddaughters, Sydney, Morgan and Cassidy Trujillo; sister, Lucille Soto of Nevada; sister-in-law, Sherry Eyre of Utah; God-son, Angelo Trujillo; 10 other grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 5 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. also at The Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at The Lighthouse Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, David, Robert, Benny, Joe, Johnny and Sammy Martinez and Orlando Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers named are, Orlando Trujillo, Jr., Aaron Martinez, Nathaniel Sanchez and McKayla Sanchez.
