HAROLD LEE JOHNSON, 74, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 following a sudden illness. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Elidia Johnson; his beloved dog, Bonnie; sister-in-law, Pauline Antoine; sisters: Dorothy Mae Howard of Spartanburg, SC, Mary Elizabeth Suttles of Arcadia, SC; brother, Charles Johnson of Taylors, SC; children, Kenneth Johnson and wife Pam of South Carolina, Charles Johnson, Theresa Paisano and husband John, James Johnson, Sharon Johnson and Suzanne Kesler and husband Cody all of Ohkay Owingeh; grandchildren, Alicia Johnson and Benjamin Johnson and wife Ashley both of South Carolina, Alesia Paisano, Kasia and Vanessa Johnson, Anthony Kedge and wife Amanda, Alexandra Paisano, Ashley Johnson, Nathaniel Kedge, Amanda Paisano and James Johnson, Jr. all of Ohkay Owingeh; great-grandchildren, Bryce Kohlhafer-Johnson and Alyssa Kedge and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. also at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Anthony and Nathaniel Kedge, Michael Montoya, John Peabody, Richard Samaniego and Frankie Lafferty. Additional services will be held in Spartanburg, SC on Sunday, April 7, 2013, by his South Carolina family. The family of Harold Lee Johnson has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
