HAROLD J. ROMERO, 62, a resident of Chimayo, passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2015. He was born July 30, 1953 in Española to Augustina and Candelario Romero. He was preceded in death by his father, Candelario Romero. Harold worked hard all his life and was proud of his drywall work and texturing. He always helped family and friends when needed. He always lit up the room with his big sense of humor and the laughter he spread to everyone he knew and met. He loved the outdoors and joking around with everyone he knew. He had a lot of love for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Mr. Romero is survived by his mother, Augustina Romero; daughter, Tammy Romero; son, Dion Romero (Tracy); mother of his children, Tina Trujillo; grandchildren whom he loved very much, Kayla Valdez, Genesis, Kimora and Elijah Romero; brother, Orlando Romero (Anita); sisters, Esther Duran (Bill), Geraldine Quintana and Linda Romero; God-daughter, Roberta Trujillo whom he loved like his own daughter and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving the family as pallbearers are Milfred Martinez, Chris Martinez, Sr., Chris Martinez, Jr., Paul Martinez, Jerry Trujillo, Mark Vigil. Honorary pallbearers named are Kayla Valdez, Genesis, Elijah, and Kimora Romero. The family of Harold J.
