HAROLD A. HERRERA, 85, born July 11, 1930 departed from this life on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Herrera and infant son, Matias; grandson, Dominic Herrera; daughter-in-law, Mildred; his parents, Benito and Teofila Herrera; brothers, Willie, Jose C., Bernabe, Roberto Herrera, Cleo Ortiz, Clarita Pacheco, Mary Bustos; In-laws, Antonio and Estefanita Guillen. Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ernestine; son, Walter, daughters, Louann (Clarence) Martinez, Donna (Fabian) Valdez; grandchildren, Valerie, Matias, Nadine, Shawn and Shanaya (Estevan), great-granddaughters, Hannah, Felice, Kaitlyn, Lugardita, Mariela, Zuri and Alliana, great-grandson, David; brother, Ciriaco (Bernie) Herrera, sister, Grace Nyman, and numerous loved nephews and nieces in-laws and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church in Alcalde, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, with a burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery, with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Matias Martinez, Shawn Herrera, Fabian Valdez, Randy Herrera, Dino Guillen and Kyle Duda, honorary pallbearers, Phillip Herrera, Larry Martinez, Victor Valdez, Manuel Maestas, Dolores Dupree and Margaret Martinez.
