Harold Sanchez

Harold E. Sanchez , 39, a resident of Velarde, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold J. Sanchez and Mary Alice Lopez. Harold grew up ranching with his father and became an avid outdoorsman. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working on cars. He always had a smile on his face and made friends with everyone. He will be missed by all who knew him. Harold is survived by his sister, Bernadine Gonzales (Frank DeHerrera); children, Harold E. Sanchez Jr. and Julian J. Sanchez; grandson, Austyn Sanchez; significant other, Veronica Quintana; stepchildren, Derek and Caitlin Hice; nephews, Michael Baca and Matthew Gonzales; uncle, Macedonio Sanchez (Teresa); and many cousins and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde, with a Memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. The family of Harold E. Sanchez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
